New York Fashion Week 2012: Vera Wang Fall 2012 (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

Who Was There: Viola Davis, Renée Zellweger, Leighton Meester and Maria Sharapova

The Skinny: Strong camel-colored coats paired with boot-cut pants opened the show, but Vera Wang quickly exhibited her softer side with delicate layers in graphic prints and muted tones. Thigh high, wedge boots provided a stark contrast to the light-as-a-feather gowns they were paired with.

The models look terrible. (just like someone else said) They look like they just walked out of a concentration camp. (way, way too thin) SCARY. It also sort of looks like the designer was trying to make them look like super thin men in dresses. The hair is bad, there's no makeup and the clothes are weird to boot. THIS, is what we are women are supposed to look like? and these are the clothes we are supposed to be wearing? Uh, how about NO.

Some did rather thin, but not all.

The "clothes" are absurd and the models are grotesque. I remember when runway models were beautiful: Veruschka, Suzy Parker, Jean Shrimpton, Lauren Hutton, etc.

What a sorry state of affairs these young women are in. Unfortunately, their life span will be short.

They need to gain weight to look anorexic healthy.

What's up with all these models that look like they escaped from a concentration camp? All with no makeup and having bad hair days! They all look terribly unhealthy, not attractive at all! I remember when models were gorgeous...that's why they were models.....DUH!

Please someone tell that model to eat something.

Are those models too skinny to be healthy? I am all for creative giants like Vera Wang being really responsible to hire models who are healthy.
