Janice Dickinson's Style Evolution (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

We have to give it to Janice Dickinson, the self-proclaimed “first supermodel,” for her unapologetic persona and wild outfits. Dickinson, who had an illustrious career during the '70s and '80s, has fun in front of the camera -- and it shows through in her outfits.

The Brooklyn native often reaches for racy ensembles, such as corset-inspired dresses and low-cut frocks, that showcase all of her assets. As if to tease the cameramen even more, Dickinson also hoists the hems and tugs down the straps of her outfits for funny poses.

Check out more of Dickinson’s sexy looks in the gallery below as she turns 57-years-old this Wednesday, and see what she wore to a recent dinner in Los Angeles.

And have a look through our many other Style Evolutions here.

This woman couldn't hold a candle to the true first supermodels: Suzy Parker, Jean Shrimpton, Verushka, Twiggy. I wish she could see outside herself.

I think that she was beautiful then, and I think she is beautiful now. She certainly doesnt look her age, at least to me, and yes I know, surgery, perhaps botox, whatever. everybody has so much hate in them, it makes me sick...

It's apparent that Janice was a super-voluptuous supermodel before the days of today's skinny-little-emaciated-boy-looking 14-year-olds they put on the runway now. She has a wide range of looks, but imho she looks nicer in the little more modest outfits than in some of the too-flamboyant looks where it is noticeable that too much plastic decollette is bulging out from the bodice. She sure can pose and looks as if she's enjoying herself in the photo shots. I think she looks very good in street dresses and fun casual sportswear. You go, Janice...I really used to like watching you on "America's Top Model."

Didn't know who she was but I think she's adorable. Looks good in all the styles. Love the fact that she looks like she is having a good time. Doesn't give the appearance of being full of herself. Would love to have some of her height.. .. ok so maybe some of her looks would be nice too. :-)

She does always look beautiful. Then she opens her mouth...............

Umm, sorry Janice, but, GIA CARANGI was the first supermodel. She and she alone revolutionized the cookie-cutter blonde-barbie type model thing and blew them all out of the water! And she was probably the most beautiful model/woman ever photographed too. Her body was about as perfect as they come from head to toe and she had the best breasts in the business! I mean, she was ghastly sexy!!! Sadly, she left us far too soon.

I am pretty familiar with Gia G, but I have never seen her as a blonde, certainly not the Cookie cutter type.

Good-looking dame. She's famous, then? Never heard of her, but I bit on the piece because, as previously noted, she's easy on the eyes. Call me shallow or call me straight, just don't call me late at last call.

She needs to be a bit more vintage:

At one time she was a very attractive woman. But today, I see a woman with no fashion sense, ugly knees, and a huge mouth. There is a saying "grow old gracefully." She is missing the grace!!

I'm so glad I am average looking. At 58, people I know and people I don't comment that I "look good for my age". If I had been super beautiful, they'd probably be saying it's a shame how I look now because I used to be so beautiful.
10:12 AM on 02/16/2012
I love her!
07:23 AM on 02/16/2012
I give up. What has she done with her face?
05:59 AM on 02/16/2012
According to the pictures she has not aged like the rest of us. At 57 I don't know if I should applaud her or pity her.
