Cindy Crawford's Style Evolution (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

If you needed more indication that supermodels are back, just take a look at Cindy Crawford. The Illinois native turned up the heat in a red-hot Roberto Cavalli showstopper at last year’s Venice Film Festival and most recently, was a vision in another beaded number by Cavalli at the amfAR Gala.

Crawford, known for her trademark mole, always had an effortlessly sexy style. The racy red Versace dress she wore to the Oscars with then-boyfriend Richard Gere showed the perfect amount of skin without being over-the-top. The brunette bombshell loves to flaunt the bod that made her famous in slinky dresses with plunging necklines, lingerie-inspired ensembles, statuesque column gowns and casual cocktail frocks. She also exudes a professional demeanor in smart blazers and fitted trousers -– is there a look that Crawford can’t pull off?

Check out more of Crawford’s head-turning looks below as she turns 46 this Monday, and watch her and other supers work the camera in Duran Duran’s music video, Girl Panic.

And have a look through our many other Style Evolutions here.

It's good to see a model, or any female celebrity, pose for photos with enough self confidence to stand with her feet apart, as Cindy does, instead of the obviously artificial model's pose, with the rear foot at an angle, the forward foot pointed at the camera.

Ha Ha you wrote slit.
03:20 PM on 02/20/2012
I'd say she's still got it!
02:50 PM on 02/20/2012
Hmmm, I'll bet her slit is in roughly the same position as other women's slits.

Ohhh Cindy wore a high slit! Jennifer wore a see -through! Anne bared all. Nancy showed cleavage. Penolpy had a bare back. Susan left little to the imagination! Rhonda had on a brief bikini. Mary had a clothing malfunction. All such important news!!! Wow, are we glad you bring this to us. It is SO important!

Well said - Cindy who?
01:21 PM on 02/20/2012
Is it a slow news week? Why do we need to know what Cindy Crawford (or any celebrity) was wearing three years ago? Or any time for that matter.
01:33 PM on 02/20/2012
It's a beauty and fashion page. If you weren't interested why did open it in the first place?
02:02 PM on 02/20/2012
I would venture a guess that if you are a tall model you can't hardly not wear a high slit!

You guys ever go to your high school reunions? Remember how hot the homecoming queen, and all the cheerleaders were. Well, if seems that all those pretty gals (after they got married), porked up to 200 or so. It's nice to see these models that have taken care of themselves for all these years
03:35 PM on 02/20/2012
Maybe, but the aging still comes through her face and being so skinny doesn't help it. Besides that's her livelihood and not the livelihood of all the rest.

Gorgeous in white, stunning in about every color

It's nice to see someone who doesn't cross her legs whenever she is photographed. The rest look like they have to go to the restroom.

As long as the slit doesn't show her slit
