New York Fashion Week Fall 2012: Most Outrageous Moments (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

While we love seeing all the polished, elegant ensembles on the runway and in the front row, sometimes New York Fashion Week's most memorable moments are its most outrageous.

This season's shows had plenty of surprising moments, including the unfortunate passing of Zelda Kaplan, a Lincoln Center streaker and unexpected pairings (Arianna Huffington and Bryanboy?).

Here are our nominees for the most outrageous...

This is what Giselle should be focusing on, and leave the football commentary to the rest of us.

I just don't get it. I have never purchased any clothing full price, I cannot imagine trashing my clothes EVERY year. Waste of money and my precious time. Don't get me wrong, I am a Calvin Klein fan and love a tailored look but seriously some of this stuff is well...awful.

I guess it's worth celebrating that we live in a time and a culture where this kind of silliness is celebrated. I do wish, though, that fashion were beautiful instead of just shocking. But then again, maybe I just don't get it.
