House Beautiful March 2012: All About Green (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

It's official. House Beautiful's new Spring Color issue just hit newsstands this week and it's all about green, which they're declaring as the color of the season. The new March issue is positively inspiring with a range of stunning interiors that are decked out in varying green shades, from an avocado green pantry to a sea-foam-green corridor designed by well-known decorators such as Meg Braff and Steven Gambrel. Of course, there's also House Beautiful's popular color section (our favorite), and in this issue 12 designers and tastemakers offer readers insight into their favorite shades of green. And if you're looking to add some touches of green to your own space in the new season, the special roundup of 50 Ways To Bring Green Home offers some excellent high-low home finds.

For more highlights in House Beautiful's March 2012 Spring Color issue, check out this behind-the-scenes video in which editor-in-chief Newell Turner gives a quick walkthrough of the must-read stories this month and provides the backstory to some of the features.

Welcome back the colors used around the time of the Great Depression! Oh wait! That welcoming started a few years ago. My bad.
