A sink skirt is a creative and affordable way to hide a trashcan or cleaning products that might look like clutter under a pedestal sink. The best part of this project is that you don't need any sewing ability...just glue, scissors and Velcro. For the full tutorial, visit Little Green Notebook.

I made a sink skirt once. This one is much more attractive than mine was. The best think about one is that it gives you a place to stash a trash can in a tiny rental.

But seriously ... that photo illustrating the hidden cords? If that is the number of cords one has, anyone could hide them. Let's see that magic trick performed when the desk has a desktop computer, a printer, a landline, a FAX, and a lamp. Not all of us can afford cordless.

As I was reading that one I was thinking that it would take me longer than the week end to untangle the cords so I could hide them! How about putting the sink skirt behind the computer desk but in front of the cords?

Drum shades on the ceiling? Yeah. They'll go great with the sink skirt... in your Mom's basement. Don't forget the cinder block shelving.

LOL-i'm living in my moms basement, and we have cinderblock shelving (at least you cant see the cinderblocks though..)!

we have a nice sink installed in cabinetry though, thank god! i need the stroage!

a drum shade would be impossible in any basment due to the low ceilings, so i'm not sure where you got that.....
