Pretty girl. How much did i lust after Mrs. McCabe?

Of course, I recognize her, but I must say that there are a lot of younger people who have no idea who she is. In the 1990s, she enrolled at the University of California at Berkeley as an undergraduate. None of her classmates had the slightest idea who she was and she freely walked the streets of Berkeley, not having to deal with either fans or paparazzi, only panhandlers.

I am sooo lucky. I'm now 67 years old, but during the 60's & 70's I was told by several people that I looked like Julie Christie. Thanks for bringing that nice warm & fuzzy memory back.

Julie Christie was the first star I ever met, back when I was starstruck beyond all imagining. Heart pounding and throat dry, I forced myself to go up and talk to her because she was, well, Julie Christie. She was breathtakingly beautiful, completely gracious and had just made "Far From the Madding Crowd." As a Thomas Hardy fan, I was shocked to discover she had not read the novel, and she promised me she would read it. I think she got a little annoyed, however, when I pressed the matter too hard. That's when I learned life's most important lesson: Movies stars only want to hear unqualified praise.

Julie Christie was THE look in the 60's. Lipstick practically went into disuse then with women copying her natural lips. Of course, most women didn't have her natural looks. LOL
