Weekend Bags That Have Us Planning A Getaway (PHOTOS)

HuffPost Social Reading

After an uncharacteristically mild winter, temperatures are starting to rise which has me thinking of many things: bright pedicures, strappy sandals, throwing my tights out the window and weekends spent outside of the city. Spring and summer means foisting myself on my helpless friends with country homes -- whether it's New Hampshire or New Jersey, I don't mind, just get me out of Manhattan.

With that in mind, it's time to think about updating my weekend bag. I need something that is roomy enough for three outfits, toiletries, and a few pairs of shoes (my high-maintenance weekday look goes to the birds on the weekends). I'd rather not carry one of those roll-on suitcases, because, while functional, I love the idea of just throwing my bag over my shoulder and hopping on the nearest plane, train or automobile. Here, my seven picks for bags that will get you out of town in style. Now if only bus fare was included...

This girl, regardless of money, will never have any real class. Money doesn't buy it, folks!

A peeka boo dress is not classy, it's trashy! I don't care who you are or how old you it was still trashy. This goes to show you no matter how much money you have or fame, you can't buy true class. Audrey Hepburn and Katherine Hepburn are both timeless class acts and no amount of time will ever change that.

JLo looked great. Too bad she decided her good looks weren't enough and had to add the peek-a-boo to her plunging neckline. Class goes a long way!

No, her dress is way too Puerto Rican. Fame and fortune in of themselvers do not confer classs. You have to be born with it. Grow up surrounded by it. Her early, hardscrabble life in the Bronx hoods of bodegas and drugs toughened this beautiful mamma, but class and demeanor are not her natural attributes. But, like Eliza Doolittle, she could acquire a certain breeding, a certain air of grace and femininity, a smoothening of the rough edges, a more elegant speech.Good luck, Mammacita.
