Skincare "it" ingredients come and go, but one that is seemingly standing the test of time is idebenone, an antioxidant that is consistently proven to undo sun damage, especially UV-induced brown spots.

What is it about rock stars that keeps them churning out offspring-turned-models? Oh yeah -- they procreate with the most beautiful women in the world.

The latest member in the beautiful rock royalty club is Zoe Kravitz -- daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet. Zoe is the newest face for Vera Wang Princess (a spot previously filled by Camilla Belle) and she fits the role perfectly. Think pretty but cool, and glamorous but in a slightly disheveled way.

To celebrate the new lady of the manor, the new website verawangprincess.com is an interactive site where you can upload your own pictures into a gallery to appear on the site, link your princess pic to Facebook, and download playlists. The site will also offer exclusive contests for Princess fans.

We love this spokesmodel choice! Zoe is fairly unknown here in the states, although she has appeared in the movies "No Reservations" and "The Brave One". She's beautiful, but not in a cookie-cutter way and we love seeing diversity in beauty ads.

Last night we hit up the three year anniversary cocktail party in honor of colorist-to-the-stars Rita Hazan's Manhattan salon, which is a mecca of cool amidst an otherwise stuffy neighborhood (5th Avenue and 56th street).

"It's a younger, more fashion-oriented salon," Hazan told me.

Hazan -- a regular on The Oprah Show -- is one of (and this is no exaggeration) the most in-demand hair colorists out there, and her celebrity client list is about 120 people long. Her handiwork has been seen on Jessica Biel, Heidi Klum, and Gwyneth Paltrow, just to name a few.

Hazan's full service salon caters to every beauty need -- hair cut/color, styling, waxing, facials, nails and spray tans. "It's a one stop shop," she said. "And everyone who works here is amazing. I'm a stickler for that."

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to ask Hazan what's new in hair color. "Subtle color is in," she explained. "Stripey and streaky is out -- and no roots showing. The look now is sophisticated and sexy."

All right, Twi-Hards! "New Moon" is out in theaters -- Friday! (As if you didn't know.)

And in honor of the film's release, we managed to snag some behind-the-scenes makeup tips from Norma Hill Patton, the lead makeup artist for the movie.

If you're going to commit to an authentic Cullen-coven otherwordly look, pale skin is a must. "The most important thing is to get the skin color and texture right," Patton told StyleList. "Pale makeup tends to flatten the features so I also contoured their faces."

Her foundations of choice for Edward/Robert Pattinson are MAC NC15 with MAC Face and Body in White on top, and then she added a lip balm with just a hint of color.

Dakota Fanning as the evil Volturi vampire Jane really vamps it up with her wicked black eye makeup. If you want to goth out (or at least get a jump on next year's Halloween costume), Patton used DuWop Grey Eyes Palette and MAC Eye Shadow in Carbon for definition, MAC Eye Kohl Pencil in Black on the inner rims, and DuWop Venom Mascara in Black. "I also helped the eyes pop with individual black eyelashes," she said.

File this one under wacko (or should we say wack-eau)!

According to the New York Daily News, a company in Beverly Hills is formulating what they call "antiquity" fragrances, which are based off the DNA of deceased celebrities.

MyDNAFragrance.com uses hair clippings (which are gathered from a celebrity hair collector, and yes, you read that right) from the deceased celebs to base the fragrances on the genetic code. But it's not clear what the fragrances actually smell like. According to the website, Blue Suede (Elvis's scent, duh!) "creates an attractiveness that lasts all day." Huh??

One thing we know is the scents aren't literal translations. Dr. Diva Verdun, chief development officer at mydnafragrance.com told the Daily News, "I did a little research on Elvis, and he actually had really bad body odor. So we don't want to clone him in any way or create a fragrance that actually smelled like him."

There are lots of celebrities to choose from, including Marilyn Monroe (okaaaay...), Michael Jackson (already?), Marie Antoinette (!!) and John Wilkes Booth (what the...?!).

This is just plain weird. If you're into perfume collector's items, maybe you should just stick to the Harajuku Lovers?

In the latest Dolce & Gabbana fragrance ads, actress Scarlett Johansson proves that there is more than one route to sexy: Three incarnations of the perfume The One equals three incarnations of a voluptuous Ms. Johansson.

For original The One, ScarJo is all bright crimson lips, screen siren hair and a white bustier to channel classic Hollywood glamour (a look that's right at home on Johansson), but we can't get over how incredible she looks in pink! For Rose The One she looks like a dewy fresh flower with her (enviable) radiant skin, petal-pink lips, and tousled curls.

We're not too sure how the unusual middle part would play out in real life, but her soft-focus makeup is totally doable.

Her look for L'eau The One shows off more of the va-va-voom factor, and reminds us all why we shouldn't aspire to look like skinny teenage models. With her simple, side-swept hair and smoky contoured eye makeup, Johansson plays the part of a sultry femme fatale.

It's time for the L'Oréal Paris 2009 Women of Worth Honorees -- and you get to help decide who will win top honor.

The L'Oréal Paris Women of Worth program started four years ago as a way to recognize women who go above and beyond to help their communities, and to celebrate the power of grassroots activism.

This year's honorees are creating change in so many ways. A few examples include providing reading and math assistance to school children, offering financial and emotional support to women affected by breast cancer, and providing phone cards to troops.

Each honoree receives $5,000 for their cause and $5,000 in their name towards the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, which is L'Oréal's charitable partner. And the honoree who receives the most consumer votes (that's where you come in!) will receive an additional $25,000 from L'Oréal Paris for their cause. Not a bad chunk of change!

Fans of makeup-artist-to-the-stars Scott Barnes' eponymous makeup brand were bummed a few months ago when the line was discontinued.

So here's some good news - Barnes is back in business with a new collection of makeup and body care products that will launch within the next year to 18 months. WWD reports that the makeup artist inked a deal with Earthbound, (the company that linked Isaac Mizrahi with Target), to secure wide distribution for makeup, health and beauty aids, along with and lifestyle items, under the Scott Barnes tag.

Barnes is best known for lit-from-within glowing looks with sunny bronzed skin and pale lips, a technique he perfected on longtime client Jennifer Lopez. This January Barnes is releasing a book -- featuring Lopez as cover girl -- with step-by-step instructions on how to transform yourself with makeup.

Even though the rest of his line isn't out yet, Barnes couldn't wait to relaunch one of his most popular products, Body Bling, which is an illuminating body bronzer that delivers sexy, glowing Jennifer Lopez-esque skin.

Ah, Botox, is there anything you can't do?

The 'tox started as a treatment for migraines and rare muscular disorders, then it went on to control sweaty armpits, and of course its most popular use is smoothing lines and wrinkles.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, women are having "breastox" -- Botox injected in the chest to lift sagging boobs. Botox can't make breasts bigger, but it can temporarily tighten the skin and lift up cleavage.

So who is doing this? People who don't want to have surgery but want to look, um, perky for a special event (wedding, class reunion) or new moms who feel a bit droopy after giving birth.

But beware -- Botox wears off in as little as three months and one round of "breastox" runs over $1,600. (It requires 12 injections!)

A cheaper alternative? How about a good old fashioned push-up bra?

Looks like not everything the Olsen twins touch turns to gold.

According to WWD, the twins' 7 year old beauty brand called mary-kateandashley is closing. The brand, which was sold primarily at Wal-Mart included fragrances, makeup, and even hair appliances.

But don't rule them out of the beauty game just yet.

Mary-Kate and Ashley's new junior brand of clothing and accessories called Olsenboye will launch in J.C. Penney stores this February, which gives them another outlet to try a beauty line.

Our two cents is that the closing of mary-kateandashley is a smart move.

The brand was very tween-y, which was fine for when the girls were tweens. But they've matured into designer-wearing, red-carpet walking fashion muses and it makes sense that they would want a brand with their name on it to reflect that.

And say what you will about the Olsen twins, but they're nothing if not business savvy!

Thierry Mugler, the mastermind behind fragrance greats Angel and Alien, has a new perfume innovation just in time for gift-giving season.

Mugler's Liqueurs de Parfum combine two luxury concepts into one -- haute perfumery and perfectly aged liqueur. Similar to the distillation process of fine cognac, the perfume was "aged" in specifically chosen wood barrels for eight weeks, which allowed for the notes to mature in a way not possible within traditional perfumery.

For Angel lovers (and there are a lot of them out there), this aging process brings a new dimension to their favorite scent. Angel Liqueur de Parfum was distilled in a cherry wood cask, which brought out a candied fruit and honey overtone, and also added richness to the woody patchouli base note.

Alien Liqueur de Parfum was aged in an oak cask, which added depth to the subtle almond note and gave a more sensual feel to the amber base.

Dr. Jeanine Downie knows a thing or two about how to keep skin of color youthful and beautiful.

Not only is she a renowned cosmetic dermatologist -- and regularly seen giving expert advice on shows like The Dr. Oz Show and The Today Show -- but she's had to deal with some undesirable skin issues herself.

Dr. Downie was a lifeguard in her youth and ended up with big patches of dark melasma on her face so, "I've been taking fade cream and sunblock seriously from age 21," she says.

She explained to StyleList recently at an event for Ambi skincare, where she was the featured speaker, that although darker skin does appear to age slower than sun-sensitive light skin, it doesn't mean it won't catch up to you eventually. "Everyone ages," she explains. "It's just how you age."

So while light skin is more likely to see wrinkles and crow's feet, as darker skin ages you'll see uneven skin tone like melasma, large pores, dark circles, and sagging skin, which manifests as nasolabial folds (those parenthesis around your mouth).
