Saks Fifth Avenue's new look

Filed under: Stores We Love, Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

In January, Saks Fifth Avenue will reveal a new corporate logo. The decision to update the logo was part of the company's overall plans for revitalization. According to Steve Sadove, CEO of Saks, "The updated logo gives us a modern look that is sure to resonate with our customers and contribute to the resurgence of Saks Fifth Avenue." While the details of the new design are closely guarded, Saks' senior vice president, Terron Shaefer was willing to drop a few clues about what we can expect. "Graphic, bold, and sophisticated, the new branding initiative is not only a redesigned logo but a new visual language. Similar to the Burberry nova check and the Louis Vuitton LV, it will become an enduring icon, synonymous with Saks Fifth Avenue style."

A new visual language, eh? You mean like Esperanto?
