Donatella Versace tells Hillary Clinton to take her pants off
Filed under: Celebrities with Style
Perma-tan and perma-blonde fashion designer Donatella Versace might not be the best person to give advice to presidential candidates, but she's doing it anyway. In an interview in a German newspaper, she said that Senator Hillary Clinton should scrap the pantsuits and wear dresses and skirts instead. Donatella is quoted as saying that Hillary should "treat femininity as an opportunity and not try to emulate masculinity in politics." Donatella's fashion prescription involves knee-length skirts with coats in black rather than blue. I seem to recall that whenever Hillary used to wear skirts she was roundly ridiculed for her piano bench calves. There has been a definite firming up of her appearance since the First Lady days. Her hair is shorter and she wears more suits. I think Hillary looks more comfortable in the pantsuits and the blue is flattering with her skin tone and so I'm going to have to disagree with Donatella on this one.

Hillary, is down right ugly! It would be difficult tomake her look any better than a blue ribbon winner at any county fair's cattle show! It goes deeped than her skin too! It's tough to make a silk purse from a Sow's ear.

Regarding Hilary -- I have never been a fan, but think she can be attractive and feminine, if she tried. She has only recently started wearing color!! For years, everytime I saw her, she had a black pantsuit on (must have quite a collection!!) with a cardigan draped over her shoulders -- (what for?) -- someone must have called her on that when she decided she'd run for President and told her to look more feminine -- but she still needs help. I agree - some skirts and dresses would help her along (though I still don't feel she's "Presidential").

I don't think anyone should take advice from overly tan, overly blond Donatella. Has she looked in a mirror lately. She looks terrible. Hillary wear what you want. You certainly couldn't look as bad as Donatella does.

Funny, we NEVER discuss what the male presidential candidates wear. Concentrate on the "content of her character" and not the color of her clothes!

This is so typical...should have known this would start. This country is in an absolute mess; I don't care if Hillary wears an evening gown or combat boots, as long as she fixes things. GO HILLARY!!!!!!

Donatella is right. . .Why emulate masculinity when you can embrace femininity? Women look stupid trying to act like men. . .Being a strong leader doesn't mean you have to look boring and conservative.

I just wish people would look deeper before critizing Sen. Clinton. She's a lady and raised her daughter to be a lady. Sen. Clinton has been in politics since college and is very savvy, intelligent, educated and up on politics. And, by the way, for all you mean-spirited republicans, Sen. Clinton was a republican all her life until she married. That's when she switched parties. She served on the committee to recommend what to do with R. Nixon and recommended impeachment while she was a republican.

In response to the very first post by Dave.
Dave have you looked into a mirror lately? My bet is Yes you have and we can agree on one thing! Jealousy is a disease, and you are infected with a bad case of it! Please do everyone and yourself a favor. Smack your self in the face for being stupid. Go and see your doctor soon before you open that jibber jabber and say something dumb again. Your post has nothing to do with the way Hillary Clinton dresses. The Constitution gives you the right to speak freely. Better people than you have died to pass you this right. Better people than you struggle each day to gasp for good clean air to breath to continue to live. And Someone like you has got to waste that good clean air on some trash like your post. Get help you need it!

I think she is a most attractive lady. She may have a few flaws, but dont we all. Considering that she is the most intellegent woman in the world, I don't honestly believe those flaws will affect her. As far as the comment made above about "checking into her past", why? Don't we all have a past? She was bold enough to share her past in one of the books she wrote. Apparently she is not ashamed, or trying to hide her past.
Our biggest problem in America, is looking only at the exterior of another. We tend to believe that our leader's representives, etc. must be beautiful, if they are women. We forget that beauty is only secondary to what they can accomplish, hopefully to get our country back on track. Beauty equals Miss Usa. Would you want her in the presidential position?

Hillary can never improve her looks. What she looks on the outside cannot be changed but beauty comes from inside and she stinks.

Many of these posts just goes to show how many people are threatened by Hilary's intelligence. It really doesn't matter what she wears..... She has brains.

I don't think wearing a skirt or dress would help Hilery at all, I can understand why Bill had activities on the side with Monica. She stone cold looking and thinks only of her ambition.

Hillary looked really good in the yellow skirt she wore a few months ago. So, I think she should wear more skirts. Plus, she looks great in yellow!

Here we go again. Negative, negative talk! What difference does it make how she looks or what she wears. She looks presentable, clean and coordinated. Leave her alone and deal with important issues for goodness sake!

Really now!!! I all honesty Hillary has a bad case of B.F.D. (butt for days). Also she has bigger legs than former running back Earl Campbell. Do we really want to see Hillary in dresses, I think not!!! As for Ms. Versace, looking at her she appears to have that look kind of like a Trout from all that 'nip and tuck' and resembles someone caught in a wind tunnel. Maybe if Hillary can wear a dres Ms. Versace can wear a paper bag over her head!!!!

I agree with Donatella. Hey, to each's own, but I think this woman is sexy. I'll be her intern any day.

Seems like the republicans need to find something to complain about or their not satisfied, didn't know we had any fashionable 1st lady since Jackie, take a look at Laura's hair and pantsuits that she's been seen in!
Look at her daughters, seems like Hillary has raised a young lady who knows how to behave! Hillary take this as a compliment that their worried about you, otherwise they wouldn't find things to complain about!

If she wears dresses and skirts, she will be picked apart...if she wears pants people feel they need to comment. Why is this even a part of the discussion. Never heard anyone commenting on the color of the presidents ties or how goofy he looks. Get a life! She is a smart woman with good ideas. Besides anyone would be better than Bush.
