Manolo Blahnik may have had the girls of Sex And The City, but Christian Louboutin is, as Anne so eloquently put it once, Bordeaux to Manolo's table wine. Now Louboutin has inspired something Manolo hasn't, a distinctive manicure. The Louboutin manicure has a red coat on the underside of the nail which mimics Louboutin's signature red sole. The manicure was developed by Zoe Pocock, of London's Charles Worthington salon and involves polishing the top of the nail with any color and then putting a bright red creme on the underside.

Morticia Addams would have loved this look...it reminds one of blood under the black fingernails. It might be fun for Halloween, not so much for real life, unless you happen to be a dominatrix or a vampire.

Just as long as it doesn't cost as much as a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes!
By the way, it's not that original, me and my friends used to paint the underside of our nails when we were teens. That was over 10 years ago!
But if you feel like you need to match the sole of your shoes then go for it.
