Design your own Converse Chuck Taylors

Filed under: Stores We Love, Accessories, Clothing, Shoes

Converse Chuck Taylors seem to be the footwear fashion trend that just won't die. For years they've been must-have's for slackers, rockers, indie kids and anyone else who wants an easy way to look cool in casual shoes. While it's great to have such an easy style score in your arsenal, the problem is that everyone has a pair, so it's hard to make yours stick out.

So why not get some custom-made? The shoe-maker has streamlined the process, walking you though a barrage of options -- including shoe type, shoe material, color scheme (you can choose separate colors for the inside, outside, heel, tongue, stitches and more), and the option to personalize your shoe with a written message.

The process takes anywhere from 5 minutes (if you know what you want) to 5 hours (if you like to play with color). When you're done, you'll have a completely unique pair of Chucks, and all for less than $80. If you're in the market for a pair, the question is, why wouldn't you do this?
