Kurt Cobain featured as angel in new Doc Marten ads

When Kurt Cobain was alive, I wonder if he would've agreed to pose for fashion ads -- even for clothes he wore. Well, who knows, but he's posing now. The late grunge rock icon was almost featured in a new series of ads for Doc Martens, wearing a pair of old boots, and resting on a cloud in heaven.
According to the agency behind the concept, the ads are meant to "communicate that Dr. Martens are 'made to last,' and we discovered that these idolized musicians wore them." In an effort to alienate as many people as possible -- not just moody adults in their late 20s who still mourn the death of Nirvana's former frontman -- the company also created ads featuring Joe Strummer, Joey Ramone, and Sid Vicious. Which makes total sense, because punk rockers just love to use their image in promotion of mainstream, corporate causes.
While at first you might think this means Doc Martens has officially sold their soul, it turns out it was just an idea created by the Saatchi and Saatchi London advertising agency, and wasn't approved by the shoemaker. The agency has since been fired.

I think its kinda tacky....its making a mockery of his death so they can sell some shoes!
