Hideous new trend: Open toed booties

Filed under: Accessories, Shoes, Celebrities with Style

I must have dozed off for a few fashionable minutes, because today as I was cruising through People.com I saw a scary new "trend" that nearly knocked me square on my behind ... open toed booties. Say what!?

The hippest of the hip celebrities, including Victoria Beckham, Lindsay Lohan and Sarah Jessica Parker, have been seen walking around on the street in these monstrosities. This has got to be some big joke created by the industry's finest. Come on, can't you see Karl and Anna giggling over a plate full of air and a glass of champagne plotting this fashion trickery? It might go something like this:

Karl: "Anna, I am bored. Let's do something fun."

Anna: "I know lets get all of those power celebrities that kiss our asses for free clothes to wear some of those funny boots that were damaged in the production room."

Karl: "You mean the ones that those workers destroyed so we had to snip off the toes?"

Anna: "Exactly."

Then they both burst into a fit of insane laughter.

I dare you to come up with a better excuse for these pitiful shoes. What do you think? Would you wear them?
