StyleFoul: Beyonce has grandma legs

When I first saw this picture, my eyes started on the face and went down from there. Everything was looking fine; hair was looking good, the over-sized earrings were alright with me, dress was gorgeous, and Beyonce's body has never looked better. But wait! Hold the phones people, who's legs are those? Those are legs of a 75 year old grandmother waiting at the bus stop. Beyonce is wearing some beyond thick nylons that aren't even close to her natural skin color. Look at her chest, then quickly pan down to her legs. It's like looking at two different people; Beyonce and someone's grandmother.
Here is a little fashion tip for all of you women out there, especially in these warm summer months, do not wear nylons. Beyonce is a young woman in her 20's, no need for nylons. The only thing she needs is a nice coating of shimmer lotion and she can be on her way. For those of you who feel like you need a little coverage, try Airbrush leg sprays from Sally Hansen, it's fabulous. The spray is light, natural looking and covers up any ugly marks on your legs. Just promise me you won't pull a Grandma Beyonce on us.

I can only imagine what the idiot looks like when she is all dressed up. a nice dress and no nylons. yup. that's really tacky. Maybe she had cut herself shaving and needed heavier stockings to cover it up, otherwise I think a more nude color would look better, but dang these fashion police anyway. They don't know how to dress either. I don't wear my heals with no stockings as they would give me blisters.

For those who say, "Get with the times" when saying that hosiery is "out" .... I have only to tell you that hosiery is " IN " in a very, very big way. Everything from soft summer-sheer hosiery in skin-to-pastel shades to bold patterns and even fish-net! Footless hose under baby doll dresses is also big. What is NOT "in" is bare legs under dressy dresses. It might have been ok five years ago or during the "grunge - chic" era, but it is NOT okay now. Ladies who do not wear hose with classy dresses or business wear do indeed look low-class and skanky. They absolutely SCREAM " I don't know any better."

How do you define granma's legs? I'm 62 and my legs look like Beyonce's. What about Tina Turner's legs or Debbie Ellen's legs? Her stockings may have the shimmery or glitter effect.Young people wear this colour alot now days. Have you paid attention?

I remember when women dressed like women. When I was in school ('75-'88) young women wore hosiery, and it made their legs look fantastic. They did their hair and some make-up, they looked beautiful. Nowadays, it's pony tails and flip-flops. The "I just rolled out of bed" look. Yeah, that makes me want to ask you out. It makes you look lazy. If Beyonce wants to wear nylons to complete her look...more power to her. I think the reason her legs look like that is because of the lighting. Her legs are shadowed by something, and it makes her hose look like granny stockings. She has some of the shapliest legs I've ever seen, and if she wants to make them look even sexier with hose...by all means do so!

It would appear that the camera caught the sheen of the nylons at such an angle they kind of look thickish, or like support hose. Look at the big picture, she is beautiful, and classy. And I am sure she will be a beautiful gram when she gets there. 'nuf said.

I have to agree with the masses, she looks great. Yes she could have gone with another color and a better dressed date.
Maybe next time she should consider http://www.SecretXentials.com they are classy and would have prepared her for what ever the horribly dressed guy standing next to her has to offer, LOL.

I can't understand why on earth AOL would even link to this, or why on earth I even clicked on it.
I think what she's wearing is fine, but I do think she should have picked some different shoes. Those nylons would look great with a different dress/shoes.
I think the people who say that not wearing tights/nylons is trashy, are being just plain silly though. It isn't trashy at all, and looks really nice in my opinion.
But if they're going to even write this crud, shouldn't it be about the total cheapo looking crap the guy (whoever he is) is wearing? It's so ugly! It looks like those pants came from wal-mart.
This whole article is crazy though. Really people, write about something important, or at least interesting. x_x

I totally hate the look of a woman without hose. There is something about the idea of putting a bare foot into a shoe that makes me ill. The leg, enclosed in a stocking, is so much more attractive. Ok, I grew up wearing them, and as a nurse, I wore the dreaded white ones, but I actually liked it. Ok, I cheat when I'm wearing dress pants, and wear knee highs, but it still looks better than nasty feet in shoes. Has anyone really looked at women's feet today? With the foot crunching shoes, and sandles, feet are HORRIBLE. All gnarly. My feet, on the other hand, look very nice.

She looks fabulous, and the thick stocking look is very 1940-60s, it goes with the wiggle dress. Why are we worrying about Beyonce, who is always beautiful, when she's standing next to trash can Ernie?
