Of all the things you'd expect to be inspiration for high-end, Wilshire Boulevard boutiques, Looney Toons don't immediately come to mind. However, the precocious yellow canary was indeed the driving force behind the Tweety designer collection -- a selection of fun, brightly-colored clothing and home accessories that took Hollywood by storm when it debuted two years ago. Now the Tweety collection is opening the Tweety Boutique in Beverly Hills -- where they'll be catering to a more "sophisticated" female shopper. So sophisticated, in fact, that you can expect to pay anywhere from $125 for a Tweety-themed swimsuit by Rosa Chá, all the way up to $8,000 for a one-of-a-kind couture dress from Jean Yu.
Not exactly what you'd expect from clothing fashioned after a cartoon.
