Your comments: I first read about this on Global Grinds website at
www.globalgrind.com I think this is insane. But I mean I guess its
the new trend in Hollywood to need an alcohol monitor, and they do
have the money to purchase Chanel shoes, and you know how they love
their accessories. So although it seems kinda sick and twisted, it
also makes sense.

When I saw the AOL headline "See Alarming Runway Look" and clicked to this site, the thing that alarmed me was NOT the ankle braclet but the completely emaciated model! Just look at her hipbones for christsake. What happened to the trend toward fashion houses featuring more healthy looking models? Does this poor girl even eat?

Where did they find one small enough for that stick ankle? I guess it is a designer made one.

I guess all the Hollywood celebrities who wear these ankle monitors must know how these hot fashions will look with them. If they go and spend thousands of dollars on an outfit, another thousand dollars on shoes, and the ankle monitor clashes, then that's an awful lot of money to be flushing down the toilet... (Such dilemmas...)

I agree -- the protruding hip bones are far more alarming. The ankle bracelet is just silly.

oh my word that poor girl is soo skinny she is sickly looking. i wish they would get some women that looked normal. ya know a normal looking woman is beautiful. even gals with large bones can be beautiful. show me some beef!!! i mean a size 10 or 12 can look great. i know its halloween but keep the skeletons in your closet.

Actually, they were ankle purses, not monitering devices. You should probably check your facts before posting something.

Both the model and the monitor are a sad statement on how the fashion industry influences young women. First you have a model that looks like she should be hospitalized for an eating disorder, (the industry continues to deny it has any responsibility here), then there's the monitor which totally trivializes its purpose and the punishment that its supposed to represent. Once again the fashion industry stoops to a new low.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen! What message is the designer trying to convey to the young people? That it's "in" to have a substance
abuse problem? He should be ashamed!

Even models can be on a monitoring sustem. I applaud the fact that she still continues to work.

Who cares what Lagerfield claims they were? We know what they are copying. Noone wears Lame Lagerfeld anymore, anyway. That's why he's stooping to such outrageous lows. Woman size hip bones with an old fashioned bikini bottom below them. Yah, that's "hotttttttttt". Idiot so called celebs and brainless, styleless fashionistas following the loser designers to the slaughter.

While I agree the model is ridiculously skinny (although I had "PROTRUDING HIP BONES" at 9 months pregnant and 160#-some people are just born that way!) Did anyone think that maybe this wasn't about fashion and that maybe the model has an alcohol problem and the monitor actually belongs to her? Drugs and alcohol run rampant in the biz and sometimes their are contracts to stick to.

You should get your facts right. The 'alcohol monitor bracelet' is really an ankle purse. Please first research something before you make ridiculous claims and post them on the internet.

I don't think that model is too skinny. Some people are just naturally thin. I eat ice cream and chocolate whenever I want, but basically eat healthfully in moderate portions and exercise for an hour three times a week. I'm 30+ and weigh 120 lbs at 5'7". People tell me all the time that I must be a diet freak or have an eating disorder, but it's really self control, exercise and good genes. So lay off the model. She's probably just fine.

Please keep this kind of thing going... lets dilute the gene pool from these sub-humans! While we are at it please exterminate Lindsay Lo-life, Brittnay-Fears, Pariah Hilton, Jessica Simpleton, and Nickle Bitchie. We have ALL had enough! Please "media vacuous holes for brains" find something interesting to report on!

Actually she should be wearing an ankle monitor, because as bony and emaciated as she looks, it's criminal.
