I have a bone to pick. Let's be honest here. Celebrities have millions of dollars, the best stylists, free swag, and amazing makeup artists at their disposal. Yet, for some reason, some of them refuse to dress their age. Let's take a look at some of the worst past and current offenders.
Name: Kim Cattrall
Age: 51
Offense: She doesn't need to continuously remind us that she has an amazing body by showing off way more of it than we want to see. We know, Kim, we know. You look better than most 20 year olds. We realize that. You don't need to keep rubbing it in our faces. I'm not asking that you dress like a grandma; I'm just asking that you stop dressing like a grandma who wants to steal her daughter's 25 year old boyfriend!
Although, to be fair, Kim only gets it wrong on occasion. There are other starlettes that I'm far more concerned about.
Name: Hayden Panettiere
Age: 18
Offense: Hayden dresses like a high powered business woman who's been working in the firm long enough to be gunning for partner by now. Sweetie, we realize that you are dating someone who is only 6 years away from being exactly double your age. And yes, we totally understand why you are breaking the age boundaries of romance. Milo Ventimiglia is gorgeous. But, please stop breaking the age boundaries of fashion. You are 18! There's plenty of time for high waists and harsh red lipstick later on in life! Save the cheerleader's wardrobe, save the world. Sorry, I had to.
Hayden is old enough to wear short skirts and not make us uncomfortable...which brings me to our next offender.
Name: Miley Cyrus
Age: 15
Offense: We all get uncomfortable when we see Miley Cyrus prancing around in tiny skirts, with crazy big hair extensions, eye liner so thick it looks like it was drawn on with a black Crayola magic marker, thigh high boots and see through tops. This little girl is 15. Grown men catch themselves thinking she's hot and then freak out when they realize that she's jail-bait masquerading as a pre-rehab Lindsay Lohan. At the launch of Nicole Khristine's 2008 Spring Collection Miley was no less than 2 inches away from giving us an up-skirt. Where is Billy Ray and why isn't he putting a stop to this madness?!? My achy breaky heart can't take much more of his daughter's wardrobe.
And last, but not least, is the most famous Scientology victim in the world. Jonathon has talked about this before, but I just couldn't leave her off my list. She makes it too easy.
Name: Katie Holmes
Age: 29
Offense: I love Katie Holmes, and I know she is now considered a fashion icon. So don't crucify me for saying this -- She dresses like a very hip, very hot, 75 year old woman. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I do like Katie's outfits. But for the most part she just looks like she is trying too hard to play the part of a Stepford wife. She's 29 years old, she has so much money she could fill a swimming pool with it and then take an afternoon dip in hundred dollar bills if she wanted to. So why isn't she out there collecting a wardrobe that would make all the other twenty something celebrity ladies jealous? Instead, most of the time when I see her, I think to myself, "That outfit would look amazing...on 58 year old Meryl Streep!" Katie has legs that go on for miles, and a husband who is more than willing to buy her love. That should be a recipe for fashion success but somehow the formula has gone wrong.

I do like the way that Katie Holmes is dressed. But in my opinion, it seems like she is doing all this to please her husband. It's okay to change a little for your spouse, but it looks like Katie had to give herself a complete makeover in order to accommodate to Tom.

I think Katie Holmes dresses great. She is a mother and a wife, and does not need to be trampling around is mini-skirts or slutty tops. I think she is a great role model and that she should not be considered "badly dressed" because she is not showing off enough skin... ugh, you people make me so mad, because all you think about is what people wear and stuff, what happen to matters whats inside? Yes, Miley is dressing bad for being the number one role model of the year... she needs help!

Y is it that unless we are making fun of famous people the American people aren't happy??? Do they really need to be negatively commenting about someone else to feel good about themselves??? You want Katie to wear less clothes, like Brit then you would call her a slut, so its lose lose no matter what she dresses like she is a mother and trying to b a good role model for her kid. Yes if she did it for Tom thats her prerogative, I hate him but if she loves him then leave them the hell alone. And I Love Miley as well and she dresses alot better then most girls I c that are younger then her. So stop bashing people just to make yourselves feel better we are what drives people like Britney Spears crazy, they are people with feelings too so shut the hell up and if you have nothing nice to say say nothing at all. I think they are all good people and everyone needs to just shut up and let them live their lives, take care of ur own b4 u bash others.

I agree with all of them...i think that katie does dress a little bit older than she is but either way she looks good. Miley cyrus on the other hand, she needs to get back to bagged lunches and barbie dolls because with the skimpy way she dresses it looks like she's growing up way too fast.

I agree with some people like Patty and Leah Miley dresses like any toher 15 year old! My friends sister dresses like that and waaay shorter skirts and she doesnt even like Miley Cyrus!

well actually, i think that just because miley is from disney channel she should be dressing more like her age, therefore more appropriately because most people that watch disney channel are like what? 6. and look at her fan base. her main fan base is like primary to 14 years of age. and shes a role model, last time i checked role models with such a "whatever i see on tv is what i do" range of kids dress appropriately.

You're just jealous because she looks good wearing it. If you looked like her, I guarentee you'd dress the same. I'm 15 as well, only a few months older than Miley. She dresses awesome. If I had the money, I'd do the same.

I'm 16 and go to high school. All the girls who dress like miley are called sluts and easy. Theres a way to dress and look hott and then not look slutty. Mileys boarderline slutty. My 8 year old hicked up her skirt so it could look like mileys. I dont want my cousin to be getting the wrong idea so she needs to wear better clothes cause she's a role model to young girls.

if u wanna bash miley cyrus saying u dont wanna see that on her.... look around you. a LOT of girls dress like that at that age, wether they choose to or not. Im sixteen and my friends dress worse, and some are younger then me. she's a TEENAGER for gods sake!!! just because she's from disney, doesn't mean she has to be a picture perfect person. people have their faults, and sometimes you jsut NEED to accept that fact.

I am not a fan of Miley Cyrus. Yes, I do hate her music. But, the thing is that its not why I hate how she dresses. She's a kid. She dresses like she's in late twenties. Its just freaky.

That's really screwed up. Miley isn't a lesbian, she took pictures that just about every other teenage girl takes, that doesn't make her a lesbian. People can be so dumb...like, you.
She didn't have sex at 14 either. In fact, she made a statement about it and said she'd rather remain pure.
She's not a slut, have you ever even seen pictures of her with a boyfriend? Nahhhh.
She's pretty, she dresses nicely, she can sing well..

Miley and her friends took pictures of themselves in their underwear, so what?! That does not make her a lesbian by any means... which makes your statement really dumb. But why are you using that as an insult to her? Not wearing a seat belt, lip syncing, and dressing scandily are all negative things, were you inplying that her being a lesbian is negative as well? That is horribly ignorant and rather uncalled for seeing as how this blog is about clothes.

umm, she didnt have sex, she isnt a lesbien, she was just having fun with her friends, she doesn't lip sing as much as, let's say, brittany spears, and she has more talent than most people, so yeah. i think we all need to stop judging her. if this were a person who wasn't famous, would we be freaking out about all the things the person was doing? no. it's not fair for her, she should be more respected with all the hardwork she's done. i realize that she is a role model to young girls and some of her choices were not the smartest, but still, if she went to my high school and wasn't famous, she'd be considered a pretty innocent girl. kay, thanks [:

my god. slut? lesbian? seriously go on myspace and look up any teenage girls at fifteen and i GURAENTEE YOU that you will find very familiar pictures. they are TEENAGERS! and if you 8 year old hiked up her skirt, well you tell her what you want to do. but being a lesbian. no. a boyfriend??? magazines write articles about her dating NICK JONAS. a boy who wears a PURITY RING. sex? at 14? hence that she is best friends with a boy who wears a purity ring, and she has a very protectful father. wheter you like it or not, or her music, or her sucess and amazing career, face it. you are jealous. and everyone else here agrees with me. style means expressing your self. miley expressed her self. she's a TEENAGER for god sake!!!!!!!!!
