Oscar Coverage: Battle of the ages -- Helen Mirren vs. Miley Cyrus

This was a fierce battle of the ages between little 15-year-old Miley Cyrus and 62 year old Helen Mirren. Both were beautiful ladies in red at the Oscars so I thought we'd pit them off against each other in spite of their 47 year age difference.
Let me start by saying that Helen Mirren is fierce. And no, I did not say fierce for her age. She's fierce for any age! Her gown was awesome, it totally showed off her rocking body. Her makeup, with perfectly matched lips and nails finished off the look and made it look very polished. With so much going on in the sleeves, I think it was wise that she didn't go with a necklace. That would have been too much.
And Miley looked amazing as well! I was thrilled to see her dressing for her age. She didn't look too old or too young, just too cute for words! Her hair and makeup were simple and worked perfectly for this fresh-faced up and coming star. Little Hannah Montana is all grown up! I'm going to give this battle to Miley. What can I say? She has youth on her side.

Hellen Mirren wins by a land shot! That dress for Hellen is beautiful and not boring.. definately something to wear to the Oscars.. now Miley on the otherhand.. the dress isnt really meant for her body.

I just want to say they both looked great! I understand the comment about how Miley is just dressing like a teenage girl but some things she wears are just too revealing or not her age appropriate but she looked very pretty at the Oscars. Helen Mirren looked stunning and they both win in my book because they both looks amazing! congrats!

Miley Cyrus beating out the divine Dame Helen Mirren for "best-dressed"? That's a joke, right??
Miley may have "youth on her side" but, Dame Helen has everything else: elegance, class, wit, confidence and transcendant sex appeal - things that Miley hasn't had a chance to even LEARN about yet.
It seemed like every other woman at the Oscars wore red, but none of them rocked it like the Dame, IMO.

Miley? Puh-LEEZ! She's a cute kid, and will grow up to be something special.
Helen Mirren IS something special - the woman is 20 years my senior, but I would still hit that like the fist of the proverbial angry god.
When Miley's 62, she should hope to look as good.

Miley presented the second (or last?) Disney song nominated for best Original Song. And being a Disney star herself, I think it kinda made sense. Besides, there were other stars presenting that weren't nominated for anything, (i.e.: Cameron Diaz, Tom Hanks, Katherine Heigl, Jessica Alba, etc.) so Miley wasn't the only one.
Miley looked cute but Helen looked gorgeous IMO despite the youth difference.

I favor Miley more in this. Her whole outfit worked perfectly. You have the red dress with short sleeves. How cute? Her hair is absolutely adorable same with he make-up.

I don't think miley's dress was meant for a 15 year old girl. It was too mature for her body and I think she could have went with something cuter that was meant more for her. I'm glad she didn't show up with dark black eyeliner though. lol

You know what they are celebrity and they can pretty much dress themsleves. i understad that Miley it wasn't her best dress to wear she looked more older with red lipstick, and red dress. She needs to wear something a little lighter, but that's my opion she likes the way she dress let her be her.
