Hollywood takes over Paris in the name of fashion

I'm sure that this was the French people's favorite time of the year, with American actresses and rappers alike accosting the great city of Paris in the name of fashion. The season is coming to a close. So, I thought it was about time that we did a roundup of all the Hollywood celebs who hit up the City of Lights just to take in a few runway shows.

The biggest news of the week was wannabe male fashion guru Kanye West getting denied entrance to the Balenciaga Show. Of course, Kanye blogged about the subject saying, "I totally love and respect any designer that won't let me come 2 there show... it's their show... they don't owe me anything... Balenciaga is one of the illest lines right now and I don't feel any type of way about not getting in! There's always a catch 22 in being a celeb ... your motives are always questioned... but only time will show my true love MY FIRST LOVE is for fashion and I appreciate just being in a position 2 afford 2 be able 2 spend a week in Paris visiting shows...I understand that some designers don't want all that unnecessary commotion at there shows, that's what I mean by 'I get a lot of attention.'"

Yeah...could you understand that? Me neither. I'm pretty sure Kanye thinks he wasn't let in because he would bring "2" much attention to the show. Some people's egos just cannot be denied, and Kanye is amongst that elite group of people. Tell the man he's not allowed to a runway show and he thinks it's because he's too cool for it.

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, of course, were at several shows, alien'ing up the city with freaky sunglasses and tiny popsicle stick legs. There's not too much new to report in the Olsen twin department. They still dress like the richest bag ladies ever. I still have nightmares about their creepy close lipped smiles. And they're still lowering the bar for anorexics everywhere.

In other random news, Winona Ryder announced her engagement to Blake Sennett at the Valentino Show. And an Anna Wintour look alike somehow fooled enough people to get into the front row of Lanvin. Big things happened in France!
