Amy Winehouse to be the new face of Roberto Cavalli

Victoria Beckham really loves Amy Winehouse's style. She thinks that the Back to Black singer knows how to work it! And apparently the poshest Spice Girl's words have a lot of influence over top designers -- Roberto Cavalli has just chosen Amy to be the new face of his brand!

Roberto heard what Posh said about Amy, "She has a real sense of style that I love. She is a fashion icon because she is unique," and he jumped on board. He's now determined to sign Amy to a lucrative contract.

As part of the contract Roberto expects Amy to wear his clothes to all functions and gigs that she attends. So basically she will be getting a constant supply of Cavalli. I'm so jealous! What girl wouldn't be?

I have to admit that I'm surprised by this. Designers aren't normally keen on taking in actresses, singers or models that lead such troubled lives. Although Amy isn't back in rehab, a lot of people think she hasn't kicked her drug addiction for good. She's also been spotted out with nasty scratches all over her arms -- another sign that she hasn't been able to beat her demons. But maybe in this day and age they've figured the old adage, "Any press is good press," is true.

Whether Amy shows up to concerts drunk and out of it in Cavalli, or looking serene and beautiful in Cavalli, either way the pictures will be all over the blogs -- and isn't that all that matters?
