Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are feuding over their fortune

There are problems in tiny twin town. Although Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are seemingly joined at the hip, there's been a rift between the two. The trouble stems from disputes over the Olsen's joint $100 million dollar fortune that sits in their Dualstar company.

A friend of the girls says that Ashley is over all the drama in the family, "Ashley isn't an angel, but she's tired of having to take care of Mary-Kate. One second Mary-Kate is maniacally happy, and the next she's sobbing. Her mood swings are dragging Mary-Kate down, and finally, Ashley's decided she doesn't want to go down with her."

MKO's look for less

  • Urban Outfitter Bright Geometric Ring $16.00
  • Nine West Barbe $69.00
  • Mossimo Drew Point-Toe Pumps $24.99
  • G by Guess Diamond Cut Sparkle Bangles $14.50
  • Bebe Hollywood Short Jumpsuit $119

Because of this MKO and Ashley have grown apart so much so that they even want to separate their assets. Ashley is considering getting her own business manager to help her start taking care of her finances individually.

There was also an issue when Ashley pushed MK into the decision to fire their parents from running Dualstar. MK had just been forced into rehab by her parents and she now thinks that she mad the decision rashly because she was unhappy with them at the time. She regrets the firing, while Ashley, on the other hand, thinks it was a wise move.

Although their fortune is massive -- they have made money in clothing lines, movies, makeup, furniture and everything else in between -- we don't see why they should fight about this. If everything was done 50/50 like the media says it was, then split the money 50/50 and all parties should be happy!
