Ramiele Malubay, please let American Idol stylist Miles Siggins help

This Sunday, like the rest of America, we enjoyed the infectious humor and gentle insights of Walter Scott's Personality Parade in Parade Magazine. And we learned something very interesting. One poor man, Miles Siggins, aka Mr. Miles, is responsible for styling all those kids on American Idol. This was exciting because of a recent a discussion with a dear friend and fellow Idol-follower. We were trying to figure out why, Why, WHY someone doesn't put that cute Ramiele Malubay in something besides painted-on skinny jeans. Young Lady! You're on a TV competition, trying to be the new Christina Aguilera, not interviewing for a cashier's job at Walmart. Put on a dress! Or at least get some pants that fit.

It turns out we can't blame this on Mr. Miles, because he can only take them shopping and exert influence. The kids have the final, sometimes tragic, say. In a 2006 Entertainment Weekly interview he admitted he was powerless to stop Sanjaya. At least he tried.

We're sending out this heartfelt, personal plea to Ramiele:

Trust this man. He's a professional. He's styled Hanson and they're big stars. Or they were. And Jewel. Big success. Probably has a comeback scheduled for any day now. And if that's not enough, he was the stylist for the reality TV classic Rockstar: Supernova!

Okay, as we list his clients, we can see where maybe Mr. Miles wouldn't seem totally relevant to a 20 year old like you. But give him a chance. He's helped others overcome big obstacles, like giving Melinda a neck.

Just remember, Simon Cowell might not be a big fan of your ballads, but he is always a sucker for a cute outfit.

Good luck! We love you!
