Gwyneth Paltrow wears curtains and ankle armor on the red carpet

It's red carpet do or die time. Gwyneth Paltrow wore a curtain dress paired with shoes that look like two alcohol monitoring bracelets, a la Lohan, to the Food Bank For New York's 5th Annual Can-Do-Awards.

Want to know what we think of this look? Drum roll please...

We love, love, love it!

This might have been a total fashion don't, but somehow she pulls it off. Those shoes could make a normal person's legs look awfully thick though, so don't try this at home. Gwyneth is a trained professional (and probably a size 2).

There's just something about pairing a normal, slightly boring, if not slightly old ladyish dress with such an ugly/awesome pair of shoes. The footwear gives her a hard edge and makes the look interesting.

That's the thing about Gwyneth -- she can wear clothes that other people can only dream of. Her red carpet outfits almost never disappoint. And the best thing about her sense of style (or her stylist's sense of style) is that she's always switching it up. Browse through the gallery and you'll see what we mean. From massive pink bows to making an LBD look way above average, Gwyneth proves that she's always on top of her game!
