Nicole Richie is quickly turning into one of our favorite fashion goddesses. Her choices are rarely boring, and her outfit for the 2008 ASCAP Pop Awards was no exception.

By now, you've probably noticed that bold, bright patterns are so hot for this season. Nicole's dress is like a funky little tie dye explosion, toned down just enough to make it wearable. And the sparkling silver bodice makes it so eye catching that Miss Richie is impossible to miss on the red carpet.

We love that she went for dramatic eyes and fresh everything else. If she would have added heavy makeup to the cheeks or lips it could have been overkill. But instead, the grey eye shadow is sort of the highlighter color that makes it all work and gives Nicole a very put together look.

Last year jail was the new black, but this year Nicole is going to make sure that hot new moms are what we're all talking about!
