Glamorous celebrity hair, on a regular folk budget

Today over at Stylelist there is a great gallery that reveals the hair care secrets of some of the best-headed celebrities out there, like Jennifers Aniston and Lopez.

Even better, most of the gallery descriptions include the drug store equivalents of the pricey Hollywood treatments. My favorite substitution is the Kelly Ripa example. She deserves to have a fuzzy, yellow Brillo pad on her head. In addition to bleaching her hair, she blows it out every single day. But her hair is shiny and glossy and pretty.

  • Agyness Deyn
  • Posh
  • Michelle Williams
  • Eve's Short Hair
  • Selma Blair

To counteract the certifiable hair abuse, she uses an Oscar Blandi jasmine hair treatment weekly. At $26 a pop, it's out of our price range. Instead, for just $3.99 we're heading down to Walgreens to grab the recommended Garnier Fructis Strength & Repair Melting Masque.

We do have to say, it's doubtful that Demi Moore really stretches out the time between salon appointments just by using Redken conditioner. Oh, the product is certainly great. But at her age, with that dark shade, our guess is that she has her head in the shampoo bowl at least every four weeks. Maybe even three!
