Hello Kitty models for John Galliano for Dior

Japanese Vogue is sidesteping the recent controversies over too young or too thin models and going straight to animation.

Reuters reports that the June issue will showcase the popular - and fashionable - Hello Kitty wearing items from the fall and winter John Galliano for Dior line.

Our only question is why did it take this long? Hello Kitty is everywhere!

Yes, there is a Hello Kitty version of that

  • Hello Kitty School Pack: Boutique
  • Hello Kitty Alarm Clock: Apple
  • Hello Kitty Diamond Pendant Necklace
  • Hello Kitty Tarina Tarantino Gothic Lolita Cuff Bracelet
  • Hello Kitty Fender Stratocaster Guitar
We have Hello Kitty stickers. Phones. Kimora Lee Simmons diamond jewelry. A credit card. Even a suite of "personal massagers." A Vogue spread was, of course, the next logical step.

Now what can she do to top this? We're thinking maybe she can sponsor a major "chick" sport, like figure skating or softball. Or maybe she can partner with NASA to redecorate the space station with all Hello Kitty electronics.

Laugh all you want. But Sanrio has (brilliantly) covered all possible merchandising bases and shareholders demand growth!

We're just saying, keep an eye out for the Space Lifestyle Magazine issue with the first Hello Kitty Science Officer.
