Death to Argyle: Hip clothes for the golf course

Filed under: Events: On the Scene, Clothing, Men

Dear Argyle,

We still love you. We enjoy you on our feet and also in a light sweater. We have nothing but respect for you and your timeless style. Please do not be offended by the following review.

Yours,
Styledash

Mark Twain said, "Golf is a good walk spoiled," and he may have been on to something, especially if the club he was playing at had a strict dress code. Especially if he was a woman.

The lack of stylish clothing available for women to wear on most golf courses leaves a little something to be desired. Twin sisters, Willow and Cassie Wayne, found only one possible purchase when shopping for "appropriate golf attire," a boy's polo. They found the "pastels and matronly nature of most ladies golf clothes" to be a frightening prospect and decided it was better to look like a 12-year-old boy than an Easter egg.

Death to Argyle was born from necessity. The sisters detoured from the norm of pastel and instead decided to combine "modern trends and retro references so that the golf clothes are stylish as well as functional."

Insert obligatory 19th hole joke here.

Like we said, we have no problem with argyle. Argyle has been good to us. Death to Argyle, however, is pretty sweet and we're not above leaving argyle home with the kids while we hit the greens in style.
