Can you get a ticket for wearing a Speedo?

Wearing a Speedo on a public beach might be a crime against fashion and tastefulness, but should it really be a ticketable offense? Apparently, some sheriff's deputy in Florida thinks so. Here's the story: Speedo enthusiast and Bonita Beach icon 'Beach Bob' is lying in his lawn chair reading like he has every day for the last few years when the deputy walks up and gives him a ticket for trespassing -- and kicks him off the beach because his swimsuit is 'over the line.'
A judge threw the case out immediately, but Bob's still awaiting his day in court -- because he's decided to sue the sheriff's department on behalf of Speedo-wearers everywhere. Look, Speedos aren't exactly our favorite choice when it comes to men's swimwear, but they're not really much worse than a lot of the other options out there. Our policy is: bad taste in swimwear is an unfortunate thing -- but it's still your choice to make. Best of luck with that lawsuit Bob!

Okay here is my take on the whole thing. If I were on that beach at the time he was, and I saw him laying there in his speedo, I would get a good laugh. This does not make me mad, nor does it upset me. What does upset me is the women that have there butt exposed and half there tits hanging out. If this is tolerable, then a speedo sure should be. If they are allowed in the olympics then they should be allowed on a public beach. The olympics are televised and everyone can see all over the world. At least this was just in Florida.
So to all the angry cops out there, I have one thing to say..
" BAD COP, NO DONUT!"

the cop, or sheriff was a guy with a hang up on his self image if it were a female he would be trying to pick her up and not giving her a ticket . Straight men are real idiots, like this cop. he probably has a small penis too!

As a resident of Florida since 1974, we pretty much use the beaches down here 12 months a year. Over those months and many years I have seen just about any type of beachwear fashion you can imagine. Although the majority of men who do wear Speedos should not be doing so, this leads me to believe that the Police Officer was a man. I will bet you that he has no problems with women wearing a piece of floss between their butt cheeks (which they are always digging out of their arse hole) with a little patch up front and the same patches covering their breasts.
Although I feel Speedos should best be left to the Olympic and professional swimmers (preferably at the Swimming Hall of Fame Pool in Fort Lauderdale not far from me), the fact is if women are allowed to let their butt cheeks be exposed, then why should he be treated any differently????
This comes down to discrimmination on the part of the Police Officer and I would really like to know what his citation record is in handing out tickets to women with nothing more than a shoelace up their butt crack?
Coming from a family of 4 Generations in Law Enforcement, we all had a good laugh over this one. Would have loved to been a fly on the wall and seen the expression on the Judges face when he read the charge(s) before DISMISSING the case.

is turning in to a Police country. Nobody speaks up anymore or rebells,
I will braodcast all of this in Europe to let them know,
stay away visiting the USA you take your life in your hands and wind up in prison.
Excample?

I go to Haulover Beach in North Miami.........which has an area dedicated (and totally legal) for nudity. I don't like SPEEDO's , and obviously do not wear them.......but I think Police are quite stupid for arresting someone "dressed" like this man was.

Just curious, would you feel different if it were a girl lying on her stomach and had her rear exposed? Or a physically fit guy doing the same? If he was there first, and it bothered another person, why not move? Does'nt Florida have a lot of beach area?

Women have "junk in their trunk" & men have "extra cubic inches under their hood".
The man thing in America is a show of a guy's manhood. It's almost an unwritten law that 'no man will show another man off'. Yeah, it's threatening to some but no way indecent when compared to what women wear on the beach. Guys doing the speedo thing is also considered a "little gay" or too "Euro" here in the states.
Don't worry ladies, with the upcoming liberal swing taking place you'll be able to see all the manhood goodies you like in a generation or so. We're almost there already, give it another fifteen yrs & 'anything goes' will be a way of life... Muscle cars & extra horsepower on every beach.....

Were there any tickets written by the sheriff's deputy for any of the "over the line" scantily clad females in thong bikinis busting out all over the place? Probably not and my money says this deputy is a male. If I were this speedo enthusiast, I would cry discrimination.
