Maria Sharapova, wearing jewels at her tennis matches?

It's not unusual to see a high-profile professional athlete score a million dollar endorsement deal with the likes of Adidas, Nike, and Reebok.But you would be hard pressed to find even the most flamboyant of athletic stars rocking semi-precious stones while competing in their field of expertise. That was until now, of course.
Tiffany & Co. has announced that it has signed a two-year partnership with tennis champ Maria Sharapova. The jeweler will outfit her at in eight different pairs of earrings over the next eight Grand Slam tennis events, including the French Open, Wimbledon and the U.S. and Australian Opens.
Additionally, the pair of earrings Sharapova wears on court and at the various Grand Slam events will then be available immediately for sale at Tiffany's stores worldwide.
No, we aren't even the slightest bit jealous.

Chris Evert wore her diamond tennis bracelet (no pun intended...I think they called it a tennis bracelet after she wore it on the court).
