Sex and the City cheap heels at Payless!

Filed under: Style in the News

Ahhh, yes, the movie that made the Manolo Blahnik a household name. Sex and the City had millions of women running out to buy stilettos they couldn't afford, racking their credit cards up with designer name shoes that only women in Hollywood used to own. But, not anymore. Affordable Sex and the City inspired shoes are coming to a Payless near you!

Patricia Field, the stylist for the movie, in case you don't have internet...or TV...or radio, and have somehow never heard of her, created an entire line of shoes and purses for Payless!

Everything ranges in price from about $25-$35 dollars. How cheap! Unfortunately, the price shows -- the shoes look cheap.

We expected more from the infamous Patricia. A line of such poor quality is the type of thing we'd see from Perez Hilton, not a Sex and the City legend! But, the saying, "You get what you pay for," really is true in this case. We'd have to check out these shoes in real life to accurately judge, but the photos don't look promising.

Pat doesn't see things that way, though. She said, "I love some Louboutins and some Manolos. But personally, it kills me to spend that kind of money on a shoe. I'm much happier getting a shoe for less money that looks gorgeous. If they made junk, I wouldn't want to do it, but look at this stitching - it's gorgeous. This is as good as Manolo."
