People's Revolution employee angry about portrayal on The Hills

What?!? The Hills is fake? No way! Yes, here goes another story about the crappy reality show, the girls' lives in fashion, and how, even though we kind of hate them, we also secretly wish we could be them -- for the clothes alone -- oh the clothes! One employee of fashion public relations giant, People's Revolution, has sparked a backlash about being on the show, saying she's angry with how she was portrayed on national television.

Who else remembers the scene at People's Revolution where they're sitting around talking about trying to get celebs to come to an event? Employee Jessica Trent hesitates for one second too long, and of course, Whitney Port jumps in to save the day with her brilliant ideas.

Or so the editing team of The Hills would have you believe. Jessica Trent says it isn't so. She wrote the following in her blog, "Ah well, for some it probably gave them great pleasure to see me appear dimwitted or sad on the mocu-drama, and you know that's fine if it gives some folks some satisfaction. Honestly. For others with more developed minds, they'll see crafty editing turning a real person into some faux dolt persona for the entertainment sake of the televised machine."

Fashion is a cutthroat world. We all know that mega boss Kelly Cutrone didn't mind letting one of her employees take the fall and look like an ass on MTV if it meant more publicity for her. Which is probably why she took in Lauren Conrad as well, after hating on her back in the day before she became famous.

But, what's the price normal people pay after having their 15 minutes in the limelight? It's too high -- or at least that's what Elodie Otto (bested by backstabbing Heidi Montag for a promotion) and Gavin Beasley (went out on an awkward date with LC and looked socially incompetent). They're just two more people who also feel that they were misrepresented on the "reality" drama filled show.
