Stila review: Perfecting concealer

The nice folks at Stila sent us some samples so we could try their products first hand. We spread the bounty across two bloggers, Kristen Seymour and Cat Lincoln, who will share their reactions with you this week.

Stila's Perfecting Concealer is a semi-matte concealer designed to hide "under eye circles, scars, redness, and other imperfections."

We were really excited to try this out because, even after getting a full night's sleep, we tend to have under eye circles, but now that we're no longer 18, some concealers and foundations end up making our smile lines (because we do not have wrinkles -- our face is simply used to smiling and being happy) more obvious.

It doesn't take much product to get a real effect -- the tiniest drop gave our under eye area full coverage. Unfortunately, for once in our life, we don't have any blemishes to cover, so we couldn't test it there. Yes, we're really bummed about the lack of acne, too. Sorry.

The real test, however, came when we had a night out with the girls. There was dinner, there was dancing, there was walking outdoors in the ridiculous humidity, and ... when we came home, our under eye shadows were still reduced. And our smile lines were no more visible than they were when we left the house.

Overall judgment: We like it a lot, and if it's something you really need, this is a great concealer to use. It's $22 for a small bottle, but as we mentioned, you don't need much for each use. If you need a quality concealer, this is worth the price.
