The Coppola's team up for Louis Vuitton

It doesn't suck being best friends with designer Marc Jacobs. His pal Pharrell Williams created a line of jewelry and limited-edition eyewear with Louis Vuitton (and Marc's assitance), and his resident muse, Sophia Coppola, was just tapped (along with her legendary directing father, Francis Ford Coppola), to star in Vuitton's Core Values campaign.

As you can see, the ad features the two enjoying each other's company (daddy probably telling daughter the secrets to making classic films) while casually lounging next to Vuitton luggage.

On the ad, Sophia tells the London Times:

"It was flattering to be asked. Plus I've known Marc Jacobs since I was 18. We had mutual friends and started hanging out together. I remember asking my mom to take me to see Perry Ellis when he was designing there. I still have a box of clothes from that grunge collection somewhere. It's great to work with Annie -- she did a good portfolio on the set of Marie Antoinette. She just selects one picture and then shows it to you. But I think that's good. My dad and I were both like, yeah, whatever you want, this is your shoot. On your own set you want it exactly your own way, but we can get with someone else's vision too."

We love these Annie Lebowitz lensed photographs: They are timeless and their subjects are equally iconic. And yet we still don't feel more compelled to walk around with an over-priced pouchette -- advertising Louis Vuitton for free.

Plus, isn't it an unwritten rule that giant logo LV bags are for soccer moms with fully equipped vans? What do you think?
