PZI Jeans for the real curvy ladies might have some competition from JBrand Blue Line

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing, Jeans

It's about time they made some jeans for ladies with contours. We've spent hours tugging at jeans that are too loose in the waist and too tight in the hips. It's uncomfortable, and even worse, it looks bad.

Last week super trendy J Brand jeans announced a new line called Blue Line that will target "curvy" women. Forgive us if we doubt their definition of "curvy" although we applaud the effort.

They might want to look to their curvy competition, PZI Jeans. PZI is all about fitting curves. Their excellent sizing chart even acknowledges the totally common but underserved small waist-to-hip ratio, aka the reason why we all walk around with gaping waistbands. Or we did until PZI came along. From the pictures on the site, you can tell that these are jeans that will fit you like a grown up, without low-riding or muffin topping.

When Blue Line comes out in July, we'd love to see some grassroots comparison shopping and road testing from the curvy ladies out there.

First hit Bloomingdales first to check out Blue Line. (They'll be sold there exclusively, at least until some fall off a truck in Jersey and show up at the swap meet.) Then dash over to Macy's where you can find PZI Jeans. Find out if either brand is really built for those of us with some junk in the trunk, and report back here in the comments.

Seriously, we'd love to get your real world experience feedback on this. Everyone out there isn't a size zero, right? But we all deserve jeans that fit and look good, and it's only right to share the wealth if you find some.
