Steampunk jewelry by Rivkasmom blends the future and the past
Filed under: Accessories, Style in the News, Men, Daily Obsession

Steampunk is a counter-intuitive sci-fi concept. It's about the future, but set in the past, usually Victorian era England. The technology is pre-digital and steam-powered, but it's also quite modern and computer-driven. Analog computers, that is, that float over cities on dirigibles. See? Confusing. Let's stick to the aesthetics of it.
If you enjoyed the look of City of Lost Children, Van Helsing, Howl's Moving Castle or Lemony Snicket, then you like steampunk. One of the most distinctive visual characteristics is a quasi-Victorian mechanism, with lots of polished brass and clockworks.
Interested? Well, before you pull out the superglue and renovate your laptop, start by decorating yourself with some mechanically beautiful necklaces, cufflinks, earrings and brooches from Rivkasmom on Etsy. They really capture the essence of steampunk, with clocks, trains, balloons, and so much shiny brass! The items are all handmade, original designs, and one of a kind, so if you see something you like in the gallery, rush over to Etsy before some steampunk beats you to it!

I HAVE BOUGHT FROM RIVKASMOM.COM and I must say, not only is she an awful, unprofessional businessperson (clearly evident by her trying to poorly knock her competition on this feature), but her products are complete trash. I purchased a few sets of cuff-less cuff-links a little while back for a Sunday party my company threw, and aside from their delivery time being impossibly tardy, the merchandise is complete junk. 2 of the pairs snapped off right out of the box, and 1 of the pairs looks like it came out of a .99 cent store. I am not normally one to knock someone publicly, but reading her defamatory, bush league style comment here just forced me to say something.
I don't care where you buy your stuff from, and yeah, watch-cufflinks.com's stuff looks pretty neat, but do yourself the favor of AVOIDING rivkasmom.com. RIVKASMOM.COM HAS GARBAGE QUALITY, poor service, and I mean let's get real - how unprofessional is she trying to push her lousy site on someone else's feature. Really Classless act.
Email me for pictures of the merchandise I bought from her, it's awful from rivkasmom.com.

Nice try, Ricky, but your attitude is pretty transparent. Please return the "alleged" cufflinks in the original packaging for a full refund. :-D
You can always reach me at Rivkasmom@comcast.net, but then I'm sure you already know that.
