Maybe they ARE "capable of doing other thing" but they don't. And of course those two guys support it, they are probably regulars. Disgusting.

I agree with you 100%...supply vs demand. They AMY be capable of other things, but after all this, who in their right mind would hire them? Not so much disgusting as tragic and pathetic...the self esteem of these women must be 0%...take away the garish clothing and make-up...when they're all alone and no one sees them...deep down this is someone's daughter/mother...etc.

Prostitution is the oldest JOB in the World. And it will never gto away.
Now, think about which countries dont' allow prostitution, the US and the Islamic World, Thats scary. Oh in Vegas you can I forgot.
Let them be? If they like sex and get paid for it, why not? If women would have more sex in their marriage then just once or twice a year, married men wouldnt' go to Prostitutes. They do a good job. YOU GO GIRLS !!!!!!
mariusioannesp 7-05-2008 @ 8:15PM
That's exactly what I was thinking. Agree 100%.
Jane 7-06-2008 @ 9:54AM
ARNO you're obviously a low life sexist pig. Did it ever occur to you that prostitution is not always about sex or the lack thereof? Since you're so damn knowledgeable, you should know that about 40% of the time men don't want sex from them, they want someone to talk to or cuddle with. Obviously the men have deeper problems going on here. And what about men who aren't married, what's your excuse for them? I guess even if a woman has sex with her man every night and does everything she possibly can to make him happy, she's still to blame if he screws around. Wow. Do women a favor and stay away from us.

I didn't see a single "woman" who should have been prostituting! I think i saw Michael Jackson in there too...

These women are down right scary. I flipped through some of the photos, and I must say that if I stopped at a red light and one of these women approached MY car... I would roll up the windows, lock the doors and speed off in bug-eyed terror!

Prostitution, no "victimless crime," deteriorates one's appearance as many people begin to physically reflect the psychological damage, but more importantly, it fosters feelings of incredibly low self-worth, meaning they are often stuck and try to make the "best" of it. While I worry about the women in this show, and how they're doing generally, at least for a little while they appear to be feeling good about themselves. People so ready to criticize them should be aware that the average age of entrance into prostitution is *pre-teen*, which makes many, if not most, of these ladies survivors of human trafficking. They need compassion, as do all of us who get caught up in circumstances larger than we can handle.

Sexual orientation racism abounds...by the weak, insecure, fakers...haters not lovers...the strong can see many..the weak shrivel with there own ways of self fifth, fright and insecurity (and make like they know it all, HA)..they speak of themselves when degrading "REAL confident women of choice"...the true sexually liberated women..not the chicken virgins to be taken by dumb men to entrap them into marriage not love by societies ill words upon "Women who have sex like men and enjoy it" and know what real love is and isn't and yea! they make more money in this occupation than men..."Girl Beats Out Boy"..Pity those lost on the street or abandoned and lost. Bow down to those of wisdom with real respect. Real women are on top of the game of life...and look down on those that whimper and call names..and suffer from the criminal acts of words and abduction by corrupt unconstitutional law and non human rights as if all are not equal - bad power abusers and pervs of law. ALL Women should unite against the oppression of women who are still not liberated and being persecuted by outlandish discrimination against their own selves as we are all equal! WAKE UP!

No, I'm not Dr. Phil (uhhh...thanks for the compliment?), but a social worker who has been privileged to work with women involved in prostitution, and kids who are victims of human trafficking, for over 12 years here in Baltimore. The organization I started (with lots of help) in 1996, specializes in assisting folks who are leaving "the life," which some don't get to leave -- some die in it first (for example, four prostituted women in Baltimore, that we know of, were strangled to death, between 4/8/08 and today) . It's good for all of us to remember Lisa's comment about the fact that these ladies are indeed someone's daughter, and maybe someone's mother, sister or friend, too. They can teach all of us a thing or two about survival, and they have plenty of non-prostituting skills, which many use to great effect once they leave what they tell us is a living death. Have a great 4th, everybody!

G.L., you refer to God in your post, but Jesus never put anybody down or called people "sickos." When Jesus was challenged about working amongst the "prostitutes" and tax collectors, he replied that physicians come to heal the sick, not the well, and he set about healing people, showing compassion, assisting others in becoming more compassionate, and so on. Plus, all of us are broken, not just these gals, so why the put-downs? This unwelcoming attitude we sometimes display is why so many of the folks I work with will have nothing to do with Christians, who should be the first to not judge others and to realize that we all fall short, in our various ways.
