Why aren't you wearing this? Over the Knee Argyle Socks

Filed under: Accessories, Celebrities with Style

Although we're loving summer at the moment, our fashion-forward minds are already getting excited about cool weather and hot fall trends. After all, who doesn't love shopping now for items you can't wear for three more months?

It goes without saying that some of the styles we saw in the Sex and the City movie should come with a "Don't try this at home" warning, and when we first saw these over the knee argyle socks (available for $14 at PatriciaField.com) on Carrie, we thought they were a prime example. But something made us take another look. And another. And, all of a sudden, we kind of love them.

Why aren't you wearing this?

  • Cosmic Cuff by Gerard Yusca
  • Cream Ribbon Triple Headband
  • Old Navy Patent Ballet Flat
  • Ben Sherman 'Vixen'
  • Banana Republic Faceted Gem Drop Earrings
Is the look quirky as hell? Absolutely. We never want to see these paired with a demure black dress -- go funky with them or go home. But think about it -- if you get them now, you have several months to get used to them, so when you bust them out on the first brisk day of fall, you'll be strutting your stuff with all the swagger of SJP and the girls.
