Givenchy haute couture show was hot!

Filed under: Style in the News

Haute couture shows used to be only for the eyes of the fashion elite, but thanks to the wonders of the internet, now we're all able to enjoy the glorious fashion that comes down the runway. Givenchy showed their Fall-Winter 2009 Haute Couture collection this week and the clothes were pretty sweet!

Some of the highlights of the show included gorgeous flapper inspired dresses in amazing bright colors. If you thought the fall and winter seasons are only for dark colors, think again. We crave more dresses in those Barbie doll pinks and eggplant purples!

Another small detail that caught our eyes was a pair of shoes that seemed to be a fusion of cowboy boots, and the French farm boots that were so in for a while. Since Hollywood seems to have a fetish for footwear that's ugly fashion forward, we have a feeling we'll be seeing a pair or two of these an A-list feet next season.

We may never be able to afford clothes like these, but thank goodness we're able to browse and drool over pieces we'll never touch. And rest assured Forever 21 will be there to create cheap knock offs of anything that becomes even remotely popular.
