American League All-Stars: The jerseys

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing, Vintage and Retro, Men, Kids and Babies

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really. Go Yanks!

Major League Baseball will be celebrating the All-Star break in one week. That doesn't mean you can't start celebrating it now. We're talking jerseys, people.

Granted, we usually don't suggest that people wear replica jerseys and faux uniforms as a fashion statement. However, as a regular statement they are generally acceptable. Still, you probably shouldn't wear them to the office. They're much more appropriate to wear to the game, bar, or other sports-related event. Luckily we go to a lot of games, bars and sports-related events. Mostly bars.

Today we're looking at the American League. The starters are Josh Hamilton, Derek Jeter, Manny Ramirez, A-Rod, Dustin Pedroia, Ichiro Suzuki, Kevin Youkilis, Joe Mauer and David Ortiz.

We found each of their jerseys at FansEdge except for Josh Hamilton. Where's the love for Hamilton (I bet they'll be getting them now!)? Since he wasn't represented we threw in Mariona Rivera because he's off to the best start of his insane career. Deal with it.
