Adidas releases Star Wars inspired sneakers

This has got to be the biggest news for nerd fashionistas we've come across in months -- even bigger than the apparent goth fashion show at the Dark Knight premiere. As part of their Fall Consortium Package, Adidas has adapted its classic Super Star to honor the George Lucas trilogy that serves as a surrogate bible for large sectors of the population. Yes, we're talking about limited edition sneakers that manifest both the light and dark sides of The Force.

The "Force Pack" features offers two variations: one good, one evil -- 800 of each. The "Yoda" sneak is decked out with cream-colored hemp uppers, reminiscent of the robe that Yoda wears on the swampy planet of Dagobah. The shoelace tip thing is lightsaber green, in honor of the Jedi Master's weapon.

The "Darth Vader" shoe is constructed of a shiny black vinyl that harkens back to Darth's creepy helmet and they're equipped with lightsaber red shoelace tips -- which, as you can see, are perfect for dueling.

If you were to own these badass kicks, would you wear these to the new animated Star Wars flick -- or leave them in their hermetically sealed packaging for maximum collector value?
