Berlin Fashion Week features assless chaps and men in dresses

Filed under: Style in the News

Gutentag, Berlin Fashion Week! The event kicked off just yesterday and will continue through Sunday. But, we have a feeling they'll be hard pressed to top the grand opening -- there were models dressed in assless chaps and leather bondage strutting their stuff in an underground catwalk at the Berlin subway Alexanderplatz station!

And, while searching through photos, we noticed another curious trend -- "It's a man, baby!" The captions didn't make it clear whether the guys pictured in dresses were just watching the fashion show or participating as models. But either way, cross dressers are out in full force and enjoying Berlin Fashion Week.

The whole underground runway show might be a great publicity stunt in theory, but, in actuality, it isn't very practical. It was obvious that photographers struggled to get full shots of the models' clothing in such a cramped space, on a moving train in low lighting conditions.

The invitees probably weren't too comfortable watching the show from subway seats, and the models had to grip to the handrails to keep from full as they strutted their stuff down the "runway."
