Giveaway: YogaMatic yoga mat
Filed under: Accessories, Clothing, Contests & Giveaways
Yoga, once a quirky hippie habit, is now firmly in the trendy mainstream. You can express your personality while doing downward dog with all kinds of cool yoga pants, tops and bags. Only yoga mats seemed to be stuck in a boring constant, uniformly blue or purple -- until YogaMatic, that is. YogaMatic makes custom yoga mats, allowing you to print them using the design of your choice -- either by uploading your own image for a unique, one-of-a-kind mat, or choosing from the gallery of beautiful photos and illustrations.
The company has a socially responsible stance, from eco-friendly production methods to donating a part of the proceeds to charity. They have an official alliance with Global Green USA, and also allow artists to identify the charity they would like to benefit from sales of their mats.
We're giving away a mat with one of the prettiest designs, the limited edition Daisy by Jennifer Cawley, one of YogaMatic's founders. It also comes with a cool black carrying bag, to make it easy to tote your mat from home to the yoga studio and back.

Child's pose. No matter what, this always feels good when it is put after like 10 incredibly hard positions.

My favorite is downward facing dog, too - it's always a good pose to use to stretch and relax. These mats are so pretty, they'd definitely be a hit at any yoga class!

I like child's pose because my daughter knows that when I am in that position, I am near the end of my work out and she comes and copies me.

I don't know if I can pick a favourite position, but my favourite part of my yoga routine is the meditation at the end. It is so nice to take a couple minutes after to relax. And it's the most relaxed I've ever been!

Doing yoga has helped me through some very hard times. Everyone needs to find their inner truth to lead a balanced life and yoga stresses personal discovery. Though I love many poses, my favorite would have to be the tree pose. It embodies many important concepts; continuing growth, a balanced existence, a focused outlook, a nurturing environment. All things we need to think about every day. I've never seen anything like the daisy yoga mat. It would be a constant source of inspiration to my practice!
