Sarah Jessica Parker produces show for Bravo

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Those wondering what Sarah Jessica Parker is going to do now that Steve & Barry's is pretty much kaput and the Sex and The City sequel won't be in our theaters for at least another two years should look no further for their answer. SJP is hi-tailing it to Bravo to produce a -- get this -- reality show!

But the real kicker, it's not about fashion at all. No, Parker's show is about the art world. American Artist, as it's being called, will follow a group of aspiring contemporary artists as they compete each week for a gallery show, a cash prize, and a sponsored national tour.

Sarah Jessica Parker TV, will you watch?

The contestants will have the opportunity to "create unique works of art highlighting art's role in everyday life, while they compete and create in a range of disciplines including sculpture, painting, photography and industrial design." So yeah, basically it's like Project Runway for people who like art and are skilled enough to create their own.

Meanwhile, Bravo announced yesterday it would be airing a new show called Fashion Show, too. It will follow teams of designers as they live in one house and put together complete clothing lines that will be picked up by commercial buyers if their team wins, of course.

We guess Bravo really won't miss be missing Project Runway after all...
