Tip of the day: Switch up your hairstyle

Summer is the perfect time to incorporate new hairstyles into your routine, especially when it's lookin' whack. Plus all of these choices keep hair off of your neck which means a cooler you, literally and figuratively. See what I did there? Anyway, here are four sexy, summer hairstyles that will make you look chic, even when your not feeling so hot.
• French braid: Their baaaack. But this time do it loose and natural. Start about half way at the back of the head or lower. If strands fall out around the face, let them.
• Buns: No, it doesn't have to be like that episode or King of Queen's when Carrie's bun highly upsets Doug. There are some really fun styles like a shoulder bun or a side parted low bun for a more formal occasion.
• Half-up/half-down: Instead of slicking it, let your hair air dry after adding a little volumizing mouse. Pin it back with fingers and bobby pins instead of a brush and clip for a "just back from the beach" look.
• Ponytails: Ponytails look best either at the crown of the head or nap of the neck. A higher one can be done in an unruly sort of way or can be slicked back when going for a more formal look. A low pony with soft, strands framing the face is ultra romantic.
For all of these looks put the blow drier away, let hair air dry with some mousse, and pin it back using fingers and bobby pins for a rumpled, sexy summer look.
