Man gets dangerous butt implants

Filed under: Style in the News, Videos

Following this week's theme of men getting in touch with their feminine side -- mantyhose, guyliner, etc. -- we found this video today highlighting how more men are going under the knife to enhance their looks. We know Corey Feldman got peer pressured into getting liposuction, but apparently lots of other guys are having body issues as well. And, in true macho fashion, they say they're not worried about the serious risks involved in the procedure.

This Nation Geographic video follows a man named James -- we have no idea why National Geographic did a video on plastic surgery, btw -- a mid-lifer who has been working out to chisel his physique, but due to a knee injury, he can't work out his legs. So, he wants implants to accentuate his unimpressive buttocks.

The weirdest part is, he only wears baggy pants, even after the surgery. If we had just gone through a major elective surgery, we'd probably be strutting around in those pant Gisele wore in V magazine cover.

No surgery is completely safe, but this particular of butt implant procedure is especially dangerous because the doctor has to cut very close to the sciatic nerve. One wrong move and this dude could be paralyzed -- can you imagine how thick the insurance release was?

We understand that the booty is very important to fashion -- but it's not worth getting paralyzed over. Is it?
