Bonobos belts- they're baaaaack!

Filed under: Accessories, Style in the News, Clothing, Men

We're sure you recall our pant crush on Bonobos. How could you not, the way we went on and on about the waist and the chimps and the ninjas and the stuff. It makes us all giddy just thinking about it. In fact, if we weren't doing real guy stuff, like sitting around in our boxers, drinking beer and watching the Olympics, we'd be wearing a pair right now. That's how we roll.

The guys at Bonobos like to look good, but they're over the whole tie thing. They decided to do something else with the silk- make it into belts. They are offering "premium tie silk wrapped around a durable backing, in a colorful array of styles and colors" in limited editions. That means buy quick.

Bonobos doesn't go quietly into the belt. These are not formal or even business casual, unless your office is hipper than most. They are made to be worn and worn well- BBQ's and cocktail parties come to mind. In fact, here is how they put it:

A leather belt should always match your shoes. however, with colorful belts in silk, the rule is cast away in favor of creativity and ingenuity. We suggest you wear these belts with all of your favorite shorts and trousers, and pair them with your favorite footwear - sandals, flops, sneakers, white wing tips.... it's up to you.

That's right, you make the call- that's what real guys do.
