Nastia Liukin - Olympic StyleFoul!

We understand the so-called "bitch face," while competing. We'd prefer to think of Nastia Liukin's scowl while out on the mat, as more of a competitor's face than anything else. This isn't cheerleading -- this is someone who's put a lifetime of training into trying to win an Olympic gold medal -- pointed toes are a requisite, not smiling. And, in the words of a very wise Disney movie, we believe the exact quote is, "It's not called gymNICEstics!"
But, a few smiles on the podium would not have hurt. That's where we call StyleFoul on this one. Oh, that and the fact that Nastia is rumored to have tried to sabotage teammate and supposed best friend Shawn Johnson by putting laxatives in her breakfast in attempt to stop her from winning balance beam gold.
If that's true, non-smiling and laxatives are huge StyleFouls. But, we're calling not-Nastia! on this blind item, which says, "Which two perky Olympian teammates are really bitter rivals? One spiked the other's protein shake with laxatives before a big competition, but her plan backfired when her nemesis not only powered through the competition but beat her so-called friend anyway."
Because seriously, who in his right mind would ever describe Nastia as perky? Besides, she might be one hell of a fierce bitch -- but when it comes right down to it, she's one fierce classy bitch. Nastia would never stoop that low.

I'll tell u the truth. When I first saw all the gymnast females for USA, I thought, these girls look bitchy! But after watching them perform, I could tell they were just really into what they were doing and were all determined to win gold. I thought Nastia looked kinda pissy from time to time, but I really do think she just kinda looks that way normally. I cant imagine her doing that to Shawn. And I do agree with the other posters, there is NO need to start another rumor. Just something to get people riled up and it's stupid.

Bitch face aside (which I kinda love) it's so hard to believe that Nastia would do that to her teammate. She got the most important medal, the all around, she doesn't need the balance beam *that much*!

I know Cat, I love the bitchface too! I really don't think that she'd do that, and I wasn't being sarcastic when I said who in his right mind would call her perky...because usually the the key to blind items is some obvious adjective or detail. Perky has to mean someone else because that's so obviously not her. I think it's those two swim girls, can't remember their names.

Nastia is the greatest of all in performance. IN my opinion, she sure wins all the golds. She has the perfect gymnastic body than any others on the USA team and she performed great.

1) I love Nastia’s determination. In the prelims, her focus was so apparent. I knew she was going to win the all-around. She’s not a mindless little Barbie doll like you’d have her be, and like a lot of the other gymnasts are. She’s worked hard, she realizes the stage is special, and she’s going to chase greatness. I doubt you’ve ever been in the position to pursue greatness in your life; otherwise, you’d understand.
2) I watched the broadcast. Nastia was smiling all over the place, respectful, waving at the crowd, waving at the cameras. What the hell do you want from that girl?
I get it. You’re putting up a nonsense, inflammatory post just to draw readers. Selling your integrity for money, and starting a bandwagon of criticism toward an 18 year-old girl who has worked hard to represent her country well. It’s a sleazy thing you’re doing.

You should be deeply ashamed. Nastia is a brilliant gymnast and has devoted her entire life to the sport. Now that she is finally getting the recognition that she deserves, people like you start sniping at her. I don't care if you say you "love her bitch face." The tone of the article was nasty.
First you draw people in by saying she has a style foul and then you imply that she has poor sportsmanship. So the photographs caught her when she wasn't smiling, so what. It doesn't mean she is a bitch or a poor sport, and there is nothing wrong with her fashion sense, which is what your title implys. Maybe you should start acting like a proper journalist and base your stories in truth. Check your sources, and don't post misleading titles.
Nastia doesn't deserve this sort of slander.

Then if you're after "Asian" women and they're gymnanstics girls, you're a child molester. Did you notice that when they were on the podium receiving their medals, 95% of them would smile (of course...) BUT, they would show their teeth except for that one little cutsie that slipped up and DID. International dentists the world over said she was missing teeth that DON'T come until you're at LEAST 12 more likely 14. She and her counter parts certaintly weren't 16 as were what were the "rules of the game." But hey, the games were held IN CHINA, so what do they care about rules.
Wonderful routines for sure but, what kind of abuse must a 10 year old go through to get to the same level as say an 18 year old as what the other countries brought? Child abuse....ahhhh the China way!
