Since when did Gilligan design for the Gap?

So we think Patrick Robinson is super talented. We've been waiting for ages to see his first full Gap collection. And he came through – for the ladies anyway. The womenswear is cute and classic. Just what we were expecting and definitely good enough to get the Gap out of its rut. As for the guys? Well... "just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip." A trip to the Gap. That turns out bad. Real bad.

There are striped pants that look like pajama bottoms. Super-tight sweatshirts that only the buffest of men will look good in (which are none of the Gap-wearing men we know). And lace-up Oxfords? Since when did the Gap generation turn orthopedic?

But, by far, the worst is the poor soul who's decked out in pink shoes, a pink blazer, cuffed khakis, a blue and gray striped shirt and topped off with a bucket hat. He just lost any chance of getting laid after the female mods saw him in that get up!

All right, maybe we're being a little harsh. Because, to be honest, it's not all that bad. There are some nice khakis, jackets, and tops that we'd pick up for our man. But FYI, we will definitely be steering clear of the yellow men's jeans for sure -- the last thing we want is our man looking like the Skipper.

On a more positive note, we are dying for the pocketed and trimmed-out sweatshirt tee and white shirt-dress with the ruffled bottom. Will spring ever get here? Gosh!
